University of Alaska Fairbanks scientist Mark Johnson and the Alaska Ocean Observing System’s Molly McCammon will speak about a new Web-based clearinghouse for climate data during a statewide teleconference Tuesday, March 17 at 10 a.m.
The Alaska Marine Information System is designed to serve as a collection point and portal for a wide variety of climate-related datasets. The system allows scientists and policymakers to preview and download marine, terrestrial and atmospheric data from a single location.
The event is sponsored by the Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy.
