The Friends of the University of Alaska Museum will host a community reception for the special exhibit "RENEW: Fairbanks Cityscapes" on Tuesday, May 5 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the museum.

Meet with lenders and contributors to the exhibit and visit with fellow museum supporters. Light refreshments will be served. The reception is free and open to the public.

Call 907-474-7505 for more information.

"RENEW: Fairbanks Cityscapes" looks at changes in recent years through the eyes of community planners, architects and local artists. It features objects from the museum’s fine arts and archaeology collections, photographs, loans from community members, video footage from the archives at UAF’s Rasmuson Library, a virtual tour of historic Fairbanks, planning maps and a slide show of community-submitted images that show how we live, work and play in Fairbanks. The exhibit continues through Saturday, May 10 in the special exhibit gallery.
