UAF Day at the fair

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is sponsoring UAF Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009. Bring your UAF PolarExpress card or UAF Alumni Association membership card and receive $1 off adult fair admission.

Visit the UAF main booth in the Borealis Pavilion for information, class schedules, undergraduate applications and details about the upcoming semester. From 4 to 6 p.m., Alaska Nanooks coaches and players will be in Totem Square with game schedules and be available to sign autographs and talk to Nanooks athletics fans.

Several other UAF departments will have informational booths, including the Alaska Cooperative Extension Service and 4-H, Tanana Valley Campus, UAF Geophysical Institute and KSUA. The Fairbanks chapter of the UAF Alumni Association will run a hamburger booth staffed by present and future alumni.
