UAF police investigate missing museum dredge bucket

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Police Department is investigating the theft of a dredge bucket from the University of Alaska Museum of the North’s outdoor exhibits.

The dredge bucket weighs 200 pounds and measures about 19 inches by 20 inches by 23 inches. It is considered a small dredge bucket and was removed from the museum grounds between Friday evening and Tuesday morning.

Local law enforcement, border patrol and antiques dealers have been notified of the theft. University police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 907-474-7721.
