University of Alaska Fairbanks Chancellor Brian Rogers will address staff, faculty and students Tuesday, Sept. 15 at fall convocation. The presentation will take place at 1 p.m. in the Charles W. Davis Concert Hall on the UAF campus.

Rogers’ presentation will focus on sustainability, both in the ecological sense and in UAF’s capacity to endure. During his annual fall address, Rogers will highlight his plans for the coming year and beyond, including a glimpse of the university’s operating and capital budget priorities for the legislative session. He will also share insight on the recently completed MacTaggart report and update the community on how information from the report, along with the UAF strategic plan and recommendations from the Vision Task Force, will be used to provide direction for the university’s future endeavors.

Students, staff, faculty, alumni and the public are invited to attend. Rural sites can participate via audioconference. The event will be available via webcast at www.uaf.edu/news/webcasts/. The link will also be available at the chancellor’s Web site at www.uaf.edu/chancellor/. UAF Auxiliary and Business Services will host an ice cream social in the Great Hall immediately following the event. The chancellor’s office will host ice cream socials at rural campuses and centers.

Following convocation, the chancellor’s remarks will be available online at www.uaf.edu/chancellor/.
