University of Alaska Fairbanks professor Terry Chapin will give a free public lecture Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. in Room 401 of the Akasofu Building on the UAF campus.
Chapin’s lecture, "Sustainability in a Changing Arctic: Forces for Change and Sustainability Options," is part of Polar Week, an international effort to highlight polar science. The lecture will address changes to Alaska’s ecosystems and how those changes are affecting Alaska communities.
The lecture is free and open to the public. It will also be offered via webcast. Visit www.uaf.edu/news and follow the link to the webcast.
