Student Support Services hosts film premiere

Student Support Services at the University of Alaska Fairbanks will host the premiere of a new film, "It’s Not Going to Change Unless I Change It."

The premiere will take place Friday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. in Schaible Auditorium on the UAF campus. The film focuses on helping low-income, first-generation college-bound students succeed in Alaska. Director Takashi Sakurai of the Alaska Center for Documentary Film at the UA Museum of the North shot the film on location in Anchorage, Bethel, Fairbanks, Juneau and Shishmaref.

The event is free and open to the public. A question and answer session will follow with the filmmaker and the executive producers.
