Rich Seifert of the UAF Cooperative Extension Service will talk about sustainable communities Wednesday, Oct. 21 as part of the monthly Community Energy Forum lecture series.
Seifert’s lecture, "Sustainable Community Movements," will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Noel Wien Library Auditorium. Seifert is an energy and housing specialist. He will talk about university research and local resources for building sustainable communities, including community gardens, renewable energy, local organizations, community-supported agriculture and home weatherization.
The Community Energy Forum lecture series is sponsored by UAF’s Alaska Center for Energy and Power, Extension and the Renewable Energy Alaska Project.
