Local police will be conducting training exercises at the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus Nov. 11-13.

The first two days of training will be at Skarland Hall. On Nov. 13 at 2 p.m., police will conduct a real-time training at the Butrovich Building. The training exercises will focus on violent intruder scenarios.

Police and emergency vehicles and personnel will be visible at both locations. Officers will also be using blank ammunition during the exercise. The public is encouraged to avoid the training area.
