TVC hosts law enforcement academy graduation

Fourteen students will graduate from the 17th session of the UAF Tanana Valley Campus law enforcement academy. The ceremony will take place Friday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. at the Davis Concert Hall on the UAF campus.

The graduation marks the closing of the 13-week academy, which is offered twice a year. The academy is designed to provide students with basic police training, which enables them to receive the Alaska Police Standards Certification. The certification makes them eligible for employment with the 21 state law enforcement agencies or 43 municipal police departments within Alaska.
