The University of Alaska Museum of the North will present a free public lecture on the special exhibit "Ascension: Exploring the Art of Denali" on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at the museum.

Exhibit guest curator Annie Duffy will talk about the partnerships that led to the development of the exhibit, which features the work of Denali National Park and Preserve’s artists-in-residence. She’ll also talk about work as the arts coordinator for Alaska Geographic and her role in communicating the park’s rich artistic history.

The lecture is presented in conjunction with the special exhibit, "Ascension: Exploring the Art of Denali", which runs through Jan. 30 in the museum’s special exhibits gallery.

For more information on the lecture or the museum’s programs, call 474-7505 or visit the museum online at www.uaf.edu/museum.
