Event to focus on battlefield social research

The University of Alaska Fairbanks journalism department will host a moderated discussion on social research, the military and combat zones Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 7 p .m. in Room 252 of the Duckering Building.

The discussion will feature Stacey Fritz and Kathleen Reedy, two anthropologists with differing views on the role of the social sciences in combat zones. Fritz is a Ph.D. candidate at UAF. Reedy is a civilian consultant for the Stryker Brigade in Iraq.

The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited.
