Museum hosts "˜Travels and Studies in the Andes’

The University of Alaska Museum of the North will present a free public lecture "Travels and Studies in the Andes" Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at the museum.

UAF biologist Kevin McCracken will talk about how various birds and other animals have adapted to life in the thin air of the Andean plateaus. This part-lecture, part-travelogue presentation will also highlight the cultures and landscape of the region.
