A ceremony celebrating the 100th anniversary of weather observations on campus will take place at the Fairbanks Experiment Farm Thursday, June 30 at 1 p.m. The farm and the National Weather Service have been partners in this endeavor since 1911. Commemorative post cards will be distributed.

The station at the farm is the oldest continuous weather observation site in Alaska. The farm manager takes measurements in temperature and precipitation and sends the information to the NWS twice daily.
