2014 Kay L. Thomas Pathfinder Award

It's time once again to select an individual recipient for the Kay L. Thomas Pathfinder
Award. This annual award, established by the Department of Alaska Native Studies and Rural Development in 2012, is intended to honor an outstanding UAF staff or faculty member, who exemplifies
the compassion and dedication demonstrated by former DANSRD employee, Kay Thomas,
to ensure Alaska Native student retention and success through her compassionate and
highly effective guidance and academic advising.
Nominations are now open and may be submitted from any UAF employee or student. The
deadline for nominations is Jan. 17, 2014. The recipient will be announced at the
2014 Festival of Native Arts, scheduled for Feb. 27-March 1, 2014. For further details
