Nominations due for Staff Council's May 1 election

UAF Staff Council will elect its 2017-2018 president and vice president at a meeting scheduled for 8:45–11:15 a.m. Monday, May 1, in the Wood Center ballroom.

Nominations may be submitted either online or in person, with the following deadlines and rules:

  1.    Online nominations – Due by Friday, April 21. Nominations must be submitted using the online form available at http://www.uaf.edu/uafgov/staff-council/elections/officer-election/.



  1.    In person - Due by the official close of nominations on the floor at the Monday, May 1, Staff Council meeting. For more information on this meeting, please visit www.uaf.edu/uafgov/staff-council.



  • Any staff person represented by UAF Staff Council is eligible to run for office. (Nominees are not required to be members of the council.)

  • You may nominate yourself.

  • In order for a nominee to be placed on the ballot, the nomination must be accepted by the nominee before the close of nominations on the floor at the May 1 meeting.

  • All individuals elected to office must obtain approval from their supervisor prior to taking office.
