2021 Spring Duathlon

The second annual Fairbanks Spring Duathlon is happening Saturday, April 3, starting at 9 a.m. Proceeds benefit the UAF Trails Club.

Sign up for this unique duathlon event with a 5k cross-country ski followed by a 10k fat bike ride — some on ski trails where fat biking hasn't been permitted before. The minimum tire width must be 3'8".

Sign up as an individual to do both events back to back, or do it as a relay with a team member. Men, women and co-ed divisions in the relay race, with men's and women's divisions in the individual duathlon. The start, transition and finish line will be at the UAF ski hut.

If you want to race but need a bike, you can borrow one for free from Goldstream Sports by calling 455-6520. You must do this in advance!

The race is open to anyone 16 years and older. Registration for community members and UAF faculty and staff is $40. UAF student registration is $10.

Register online here. Each member of a relay team must register individually. You can also call the Outdoor Adventures office at 474-6027 to register.

The duathlon is hosted by Nanook Recreation and presented by Goldstream Sports.
