Academic advising is now required for summer term, too

February 4, 2019

University Relations

All degree-seeking undergraduate students and new graduate students must consult an advisor before registering for 2019 summer classes.

In the past, such students have been required to see an advisor only when registering for fall and spring classes.

Meeting regularly with an academic advisor helps students identify classes necessary on their path to graduation. Such classes include those required for specific degrees, prerequisites for future classes and other offerings that a student may not have considered.

Summer advising also allows students to receive information about scholarship or grant options that may only be available during the summer semester.

The summer 2019 course list is now available at UAOnline. Priority registration for UAF degree-seeking students starts Monday, Feb. 11.
