Accreditation public comment period

The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities will conduct a site visit at
UAF Sept. 23-25. NWCCU is UAF’s regional accrediting body, and the purpose of the
visit is to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the institution’s compliance with
NWCCU’s accreditation standards and policies. The commission most recently reaffirmed
the accreditation of UAF in 2013.
As part of the current evaluation for reaffirmation of accreditation, NWCCU invites
comments regarding UAF’s qualifications for accreditation. To be considered, such
comments must be signed and delivered to NWCCU at least one month prior to the site
visit, by Aug. 23. Signed comments are forwarded as received to UAF leadership, the
evaluation committee and the commission.
