Alaska Center for Energy and Power researchers are using short videos to tell, in a nutshell, about their work and why it is important to Alaska and places beyond.

Through the videos, researchers share their activities without requiring viewers to struggle through scientific publications.

ACEP student researcher Grace Bolt proposed the series. “I wanted a way to communicate the important but complex research that ACEP conducts every day,” Bolt said.

In the first feature, ACEP's Jeremy VanderMeer talks about helping to create an open-source computer model to investigate energy storage. Learn how he is using MiGRIDS to help remote Alaska microgrids.

The one-minute videos are edited by Amanda Byrd, ACEP’s chief storyteller. ACEP will continue to add research stories to the collection.
