Alaska INBRE offers pilot awards to faculty

Faculty with potential research projects in the biomedical and health sciences fields
have until Dec. 16 to apply for a Pilot Research Research Project Award from the Alaska
IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence.
AK INBRE, supported by a grant from the National Institutes of Health, provides awards
to improve UA faculty members' ability to compete for ongoing, independent support
for research and graduate student training programs.
To be eligible for the Pilot Research Project Award, you must be a principal investigator
with a full-time faculty appointment at a UA campus at the time of the award.
The deadline is Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. Alaska Standard Time. The awards will be announced
on April 14, 2017, and the funding period is from Aug. 1, 2017 to July 31, 2018.
