WOMEN’S BASKETBALL | 3-15, 0-12 GNAC
LAST WEEK: 0-2 | THIS WEEK: vs. Alaska Anchorage (Feb. 5), at MSUB (Feb. 7)
The Alaska Nanooks women’s basketball team returns to the Alaska Airlines Court after going 0-2 on the road against Simon Fraser and Western Washington last week. The Nanooks host in-state rival Alaska Anchorage at the Alaska Airlines Court on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m. Alaska will close out the week by traveling to Billings, Montana, to take on the MSUB Yellowjackets at the Alterowitz Gymnasium on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m. Alaska time.

MEN’S BASKETBALL | 5-14, 2-10 GNAC
LAST WEEK: 1-1 | THIS WEEK: vs. Saint Martin’s (Feb. 7), vs. Seattle Pacific (Feb. 9)
The Alaska Nanooks men’s basketball team earned a split on the road last week, snapping a nine-game losing streak. Alaska fell 94-78 to Western Oregon before defeating Concordia 63-61 on Saturday. The Nanooks will host the Saint Martin’s Saints on Thursday, Feb. 7, before taking on the Seattle Pacific Falcons on Saturday, Feb. 9. Both games will take place at the Alaska Airlines Court, with Thursday’s game scheduled for 7 p.m. and Saturday's set for 2 p.m.

HOCKEY | 8-16-2, 8-11-1-1 WCHA
LAST WEEK: Idle | THIS WEEK: vs. Alaska Anchorage (Feb. 8-9)
After sweeping on the road against Alabama-Huntsville Jan. 25-26 and enjoying a bye-week at home last week, the Alaska Nanooks hockey team returns to competition this Friday, Feb. 8, and Saturday, Feb. 9 by hosting in-state rival Alaska Anchorage in a two-game Western Collegiate Hockey Association series. The series will count toward the coveted Alaska Airlines Governor’s Cup, which is a best-of-four series that will begin this weekend in Fairbanks and conclude Mar. 1-2 in Anchorage. Both games this weekend will take place at the Carlson Center with puck-drop set for 7:07 p.m.
TICKET SPECIAL: Kids in the eighth grade and under will receive free general admission (limit two kids one adult).

      • Saturday, Feb. 9

        • Governor’s Cup reception — snacks, popcorn, drinks, brief remarks from UAF Chancellor Dan White, UAF Alumni Association President Peter Van Flein and Randy Zarnke

          • Open to the public | 6 p.m. to puck-drop | Pioneer Room at the Carlson Center



        • UAF Fun Zone — Intermissions | Pioneer Room at the Carlson Center
