The Alaska NASA Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research is beginning the pre-proposal process for the FY20 cooperative agreement notice research solicitation.

NASA's Office of STEM Engagement, in cooperation with NASA's Mission Directorates — aeronautics research, human exploration and operations, and science — the Office of the Chief Technologist, and NASA's 10 centers, asks for yearly research proposals through its cooperative agreement notice research solicitation. Each funded NASA EPSCoR proposal is expected to establish research activities that will make significant contributions to the strategic research and technology development priorities of one or more of the mission directorates and contribute to the overall research infrastructure, science and technology capabilities, higher education, and economic development of the jurisdiction. Through this solicitation NASA seeks to increase research funding to EPSCoR states that historically have been underfunded by NASA.

The deadline to submit a notice of intent is Alaska NASA EPSCoR's close of business Monday, July 15.

Please see the Alaska NASA website for more information on the solicitation and pre-proposal process.
