The Alaska Statewide High School Science Symposium (ASHSSS) will be held on Saturday, March 31, and Sunday, April 1 (finals), from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Reichardt Building.

Twenty-two students will be participating in four scientific sessions in this year's program. ASHSSS is one of 48 programs in the Junior Science and Humanities Symposia (JSHS) Program. The JSHS promotes original research and experimentation in the sciences, engineering and mathematics at the high school level and publicly recognizes students for outstanding achievement. By connecting talented students, their teachers and research professionals at affiliated symposia, and by rewarding research excellence, JSHS aims to widen the pool of trained talent prepared to conduct research and development vital to our nation.
