Alaska storytelling event premieres Saturday
April 17, 2014
Several Alaskans will tell their unique stories live on stage during "Dark Winter
Nights," a free event Saturday, April 19, at 8 p.m. in the Pioneer Park Civic Center
Theater.
The band Thought Trade will play between stories. The show is appropriate for adults
and high school students.
The event is organized by Rob Prince, University of Alaska Fairbanks assistant professor
of journalism. It will be recorded and may be developed into a local public or community
radio show modeled on "This American Life."
