Alaska Sea Grants' Freitag lecture July 17

Associate Professor Gary Freitag will present a free lecture at 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 17 in 201 O'Neill.

Freitags' areas of expertise include oceanography, salmon fisheries, marine mammal necropsy and disentanglement through working with NOAA's marine mammal stranding network. He works with research and outreach efforts in the areas of invasive species; baseline marine monitoring, salmon fishery forecasting and assessment. He teaches classes for the UAS Fisheries Technology Program.

Alaska’s Land and Sea Lecture Series will be held every Tuesday evening June 5 – August 14 (no lecture on July 3) at 7 p.m. in 201 O’Neill.
