Alexander Hirsch named director of Honors Program

Alexander Hirsch has been named the new director of the Honors Program. He will begin July 1.
Hirsch is currently associate professor of political science; director of women, gender and sexuality studies; and affiliated faculty in Arctic and northern studies and in ancient, medieval and early modern studies. His research interests include political theory, ethics, history of ideas, public memory and mourning, transitional justice, Indigenous cultural politics, and ancient thought and literature.
