Amber Cagwin new director of Disability Services

Amber Cagwin has accepted the position of director of Disability Services. Cagwin
is currently the director of student conduct and ethical behavior in the Office of
the Dean of Students. She holds two degree from UAF: a B.S. in biology and an MBA
in capital markets. She began her professional career with UAF as the coordinator
and box office manager for the Theatre Department, then moved to Residence Life, where
she was the marketing and conference services manager for 11 years before joining
the Dean of Students Office in 2012.
Cagwin will begin transitioning to Disability Services on
Feb. 5, with full-time status effective Feb. 26. A search for her replacement in the dean's
office is expected to be underway later this year.
