Anna Gagne-Hawes named director of Admissions

Anna Gagne-Hawes has been named director of the Office of Admissions for UAF. She began working in Admissions as an admissions counselor in 2015. In 2018 she was promoted to associate director of Admissions for recruitment and oversaw recruitment from 2018 to 2020. She was named acting director of Admissions in September 2020 and has served in that role for the past eight months.
Gagne-Hawes has extensive experience in recruitment, strategic planning, data analysis and project management. Under her leadership, recruitment to UAF has consistently grown over the past three years. She is committed to removing barriers to higher education to ensure equitable access to college for all students.
Gagne-Hawes earned her B.A. in theater and history from UAF in 2009.
