University Relations

Applications are now being accepted for the graduate research assistantship program with the Alaska IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence, or AK INBRE.

Applications are due Monday, Feb. 1, 2021.

AK INBRE is supported by a grant from the National Institutes of Health. The primary objective of the graduate research assistantship program is to provide support for projects in the biomedical and behavioral sciences with mentorship from UAF, UAA or UAS faculty involved in biomedical and behavioral research.

Projects that align with the AK INBRE One Health theme will be given priority. Alaska INBRE can fund approximately ten graduate research assistantships awarded for academic year 2021-2022. Only Ph.D. candidates are eligible for two-year awards. Applications should clearly indicate if the applicant is requesting one or two years of support.

You can read the funding opportunity announcement here. Apply here. For more information, email the AK INBRE office at ua-akinbre@alaska.edu.
