Applications open for Alaska Sea Grant state fellowships

Alaska Sea Grant is offering graduate students, or those who recently completed their
graduate degree, the opportunity to acquire on-the-job-training with Alaska-based
federal and state agencies as part of the Alaska Sea Grant State Fellowship Program.
This is a paid fellowship for highly motivated and qualified applicants interested
in science or policy that affects Alaska’s marine, coastal and freshwater resources.
Resource agencies who have expressed interest in supporting an Alaska Sea Grant State
fellow include:
- NOAA, Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories
- NOAA, National Marine Fisheries Service, Alaska Region, Habitat Conservation Division
- NOAA, National Marine Fisheries Service, Alaska Region, Protected Resources Division
- Alaska Center for Energy and Power, University of Alaska Fairbanks
Fellowship applications will be accepted through Feb. 12, 2021. Alaska Sea Grant will select finalists and assignments will be decided in consultation with potential fellowship hosts.
