Arctic Health construction project update

August 4, 2011

Marmian Grimes

Construction on the Arctic Health Building in-fill project has begun. The contractor has begun work on the front entrance (north side) of the building. The stairwell (100S7) entrance in this area will remain accessible to foot traffic. Facilities Services will install a handle on the exterior of this door.

The ADA ramp at the front of building will be temporarily moved to the southeast entrance of the building. Please note: this entrance does not have automatic door openers. This ramp will remain at the southeast entrance for the project duration, which will run into year 2012. The ADA entrance at the west side of the Arctic Health Building will remain in service.

The new map for ADA access is available online (pdf).

Interior foot traffic should avoid using the first and second floors, north hallways and the front (north side) of the building (100C1 & 200C5). These hallways will soon be closed for the duration of the construction.

Facilities Services appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding during this project.
