The University of Alaska Museum of the North is offering an event to highlight archaeology in Alaska. At the Ask An Archaeologist event, visitors can meet museum archaeologists in the lobby from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, through Friday, Oct. 20.

This is a chance for the public to see artifacts from the museum’s collection. Visitors also are encouraged to bring an object to be identified, though no appraisals will be offered. International Archaeology Day takes place Saturday, Oct. 21.

For more information about the museum’s programs and events, visit the website at www.uaf.edu/museum or call 474-7505.
