Thirty UAF authors to be honored

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will honor faculty, faculty emeriti and staff who have published books in the past year at the 2014 Authors Reception, from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library.

This year, 30 authors will be honored for 18 books published between March 2013 and March 2014. The publications include a book-length poem, a novel, memoirs, collections of essays and poems, and several scholarly works covering topics such as permafrost, Alaska Native language teaching models and historical events. Last year, 23 authors were honored.
