Join award-winning essayist and poet Gretel Ehrlich at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8 in Schaible Auditorium for a free lecture as part of the Summer Sessions' 2012 Spotlight Lecture Series.

Ehrlich has written extensively about her life and travels, including her exploration of Greenland with the Inuit people and life in the Arctic.  She will recount her experiences and read from her newest book In the Empire of Ice.

The 2012 Spotlight Series features free lectures held Wednesday evenings, May 30 – August 15 (no event on July 4), at 7 p.m. in Schaible Auditorium.

Ehrlich is scheduled to be interviewed on KIAK and KFBX radio stations Aug. 8 about her presentation that evening: “After the Ice.”
