BLaST and ORI hosting a Responsible Conduct of Research workshop

BLaST and the Office of Research Integrity are co-sponsoring a Responsible Conduct
of Research workshop on the Fairbanks campus Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. The training
will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in IARC 501.
RCR training covers the norms, principles, regulations and rules that influence the
practice of research. The training is six hours, with several discussions based on
case studies that examine the ethical and regulatory requirements for conducting research. Please
plan to attend for the full time. Lunch is provided for all participants.
This particular workshop fulfills the National Science Foundation and National Institutes
of Health requirements for formal RCR instruction. This is the only formal RCR training
at UAF this semester.
Participants must attend all modules presented, participate in workshop discussions
and complete the online CITI training. A certificate will be issued to all participants
upon successful completion.
