BLaST One Health seminar: Harmful blooms in the aquatic environment

The One Health seminar speaker series sponsored by the Biomedical Learning and Student Training program and the Center for One Health Research will host their next seminar Monday, March 22, from 4-5 p.m. All students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend these virtual events. Please register in advance. Recordings will be made available on the media.uaf.edu website.

Morag Clinton is a fish health specialist with a degree in veterinary medicine and surgery from the AVMA-accredited School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow and earned her Ph.D. in molecular microbiology and pathology from the University of St. Andrews, both institutions in Scotland. Her recent work included aquaculture production and academic research as well as research within various government agencies including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Marine Scotland. She was a veterinary aquatic pathologist for the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science, England. She is now an assistant professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at UAF teaching veterinary anatomy and introduces a new class on aquatic animal health.
