Campus hosts slate of public Halloween events

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host several Halloween events this year. All of the events are open to the public. Parking at UAF is free on the weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.

Halloween at the University of Alaska Museum of the North

Wednesday, Oct. 31, 4-7 p.m. – UA Museum of the North

Costumed superheroes, zombies and scary monsters of all kinds are invited to watch scientific experiments and tour the museum's research labs. The event will include craft activities and is for children ages 12 and under with adult chaperones. Admission is free with a donation of canned food for the Fairbanks Community Food Bank.

GI’s Howling  Halloween

Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2-5 p.m. - Elvey Building

The UAF Geophysical Institute and Circle K will host a variety of activities for children with adult chaperones. Children should come in costume. Activities will include trick-or-treating in the Elvey Building, the Circle K Karnival in the Globe Room and spooky photos in the GI director’s lounge.

Chilling Children’s Carnival and Trick-or-Treating

Saturday, Oct. 27, 5-7 p.m. - Moore-Bartlett-Skarland Complex

UAF Residence Life will host trick-or-treating at the residence halls for children with adult chaperones. Trick-or-treaters should meet in the lobby and will be escorted through the buildings by volunteers. Admission is free with a donation of canned food for the Food Bank.
