Campuswide steam outage scheduled

Facilities Services will be performing a campuswide steam outage on the Fairbanks campus Friday Aug. 10 from 8 p.m. to Monday, Aug. 13 at 6 a.m. This is required to replace a critical piece of equipment at the Atkinson Power Plant.

This means there will be no hot water or heat in any of the on-campus buildings. Additionally, there will be no chilled water (for comfort cooling) available to any building on the lower campus.

Utilities that will remain functioning are:

• Electrical power


• Cold water


• RO water (reverse osmosis water) in labs


• Air systems in labs
