CFOS Juneau Seminar: 'Marine Debris in Alaska'
March 30, 2021
'Marine Debris in Alaska — Information, Actions, and Opportunities'
Marine debris is a global problem that is especially challenging in Alaska because of the state’s unique position relative to wind and current patterns. Some of the earliest shoreline data on debris came from Alaska, and there have been efforts across the state to quantify and understand debris using different techniques and structures. This talk will discuss the many different aspects of debris across the state, with a specific focus on monitoring.
