CFOS Seminar: Beringia and the Bering Land Bridge

The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences will hold its sixth weekly seminar Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. via Zoom. The talk will be offered by   Nancy Bigelow from UAF’s Alaska Quaternary Center.

Beringia and the Bering Land Bridge: Land and Sea Flip-Flops

The Bering Strait and Bering Land Bridge have flipped over 20 times in the past one million years, changing which areas are submerged or continental. This talk explores these radical shifts and how such reorganization has affected the region.
