Chanel Miller to be keynote speaker for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Flyer contains same info as announcement. Shows photo of Miller on cover of Time magazine.Chanel Miller will give a talk Thursday, April 2, in the Davis Concert Hall as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The event will begin at 6 p.m.

Miller is an author, activist and sexual assault survivor. In 2016, Glamour named her a Woman of the Year, and she has been interviewed by outlets such as 60 Minutes, Oprah, The Daily Show and CNN.

The event is free for those with a UAF ID and $10 for the general public. Tickets will be available at the Wood Center information desk beginning March 9.

The Nanook Diversity and Action Center has ordered 500 copies of Miller's memoir, "Know My Name."
Starting March 2, students can get a free copy from the Wood Center information desk; please bring your student ID. Staff, faculty and the public can purchase a copy with a $10 donation to the UAF Green Dot bystander intervention program.

NDAC is also sponsoring a campuswide book club, and will be holding open discussions in Wood Center Conference Room 101G on the following dates.
