Chefs' Challenge planned for UA Museum
November 2, 2015
Tickets are now available for Chefs’ Challenge at the Museum, a fundraiser for the University of Alaska Museum of the North, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. The event features the culinary talents of five local chefs who will create three signature dishes, one of which must contain the key ingredient, HooDoo beer.
The featured chefs are Katie Eisenman, of Bread Line Stone Soup Café; Danielle Flaherty, with University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension; Steve Frazer, of Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge; Sarah Kimball, of UAF Dining Services; and returning champion Jeff Oden of Big Daddy’s BBQ. Each will demonstrate one dish in front of a panel of judges and a live audience.
Tickets are $75, and all proceeds support the museum’s exhibits, research and education programs. Attendees must be at least 21 years old. The event is presented by Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks and HooDoo Brewing Co. For more information and to purchase your tickets, visit www.uaf.edu/museum.
