CLA dean candidates to visit

Three candidates for dean of the College of Liberal Arts will visit the UAF campus this month.

The candidates are Johnny Payne, chair of the Department of Creative Writing at the University of Texas El Paso; Gregory Kimura, president of the Alaska Humanities Forum and formerly a professor at Alaska Pacific University and the University of Alaska Anchorage; and George Arasimowicz, dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at California State University Dominguez Hills.

Payne will give a presentation Tuesday, May 10 from 2:30 – 4 p.m. Kimura will give his May 16 from 3:30 – 5 p.m. and Arasimowicz May 18 from 2:30 – 4 p.m.

All presentations will be in 340 Rasmuson Library. Everyone is welcome to meet the candidates.
