UAF English Department to hold Community of Writing event

The Celebration of Writing, an annual event sponsored by the UAF English Department,
will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Noel Wien Library. This year’s
theme is “Find Your Story.”
This year the literacy event is connected to the Winterberry Project, a National Science
Foundation program that engages Alaskans in research on berry resources.
Participants are invited to imagine their stories on a felt landscape, create blackout
poetry, make books while talking about reading, listen to talks about the craft of
writing and more. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
