Companies offer challenges for student projects
September 11, 2018
Companies have requested help from University of Alaska students to solve more than
20 engineering, chemistry, health care and marketing challenges.
The requests came via the Alaska Community Challenge created by the UAF Office of Intellectual Property and Commercialization. Visit the
challenge website to see a list of current projects that are available for students,
or download the latest list here.
Most projects suggested by the companies would work as multisemester senior projects,
but some would be good for single-semester class projects.
The OIPC's Center for Innovation, Commercialization and Entrepreneurship Seed Fund
may be a source of funding to assist with the projects.
At the website, UA students and faculty can post their projects to attract students
from other departments and campuses to join a project team. The website also lists
UA faculty experts and other community engagement programs.
