Courtney Kuchenoff: BBC Student of the Month for February

The UAF Bristol Bay Campus is showcasing Courtney Kuchenoff as the BBC February Student
of the Month.
Kuchenoff is working toward her GED with math tutor Tatiana Dolgushina.
"It doesn’t come easy to her but she pushes through," said Dolgushina. "She’s also
a single mom and has to juggle her study time around her mom duties, but still shows
up for almost two hours a day on Zoom just to work on the math. I’m very amazed at
her determination and I’m glad to be helping her journey toward a diploma."
Kuchenoff said she was surprised to be chosen as a BBC Student of the Month but that
she knows her hard work will pay off when she earns her GED.
"I've built more confidence in myself," Kuchenoff said. "It feels pretty good to know
I have come a long way. I'm also improving and reminding myself I know I can do this.
It has also been a big part to accomplishing this."
