Student residents can pick up COVID-19 take-home test kits at the Residence Life central office this week before leaving for winter break.

The take-home test kits come with instructions on how to administer the COVID-19 test at home, ship the sample collection and get the results.

Residents should take the test 72 hours before returning to campus for the spring 2021 semester Jan. 4. Make an appointment with Student Health and Counseling Center to get tested a second time, 10-14 days after your first test swab.

Please review the new UA-wide guidance. The system office updated guidance on campus entry restrictions, student testing and travel to align with the State of Alaska's orders.

You should arrive with a COVID-19 negative test when returning to campus, which can be taken up to 72 hours in advance of travel.

While on campus, strict social distancing will be observed for those coming from out of state, while those in state will minimize interactions until a second negative COVID-19 test is received, which can be taken no sooner than five days after the date of a first test.

Tests can be received at the SHCC. If you arrive in the state without a negative test, you can make an appointment with the SHCC to get one.
