December museum programs celebrate Alaska fashion

The University of Alaska Museum of the North is exploring Alaska fashion at hands-on programs during the month of December.

Families are invited to drop in with children 5 and younger at Early Explorers Fridays from 10 a.m.-noon. On Saturday, Dec. 9, children 6 and older are invited to Junior Curators. Teen Studio on Saturday, Dec. 16, offers an opportunity for young adults ages 13-18 to design a one-of-a-kind fashion statement. Please preregister at bit.ly/uamnteenstudio.

The museum is also offering open Creativity Lab activities on Wednesday, Dec. 20, and Thursday, Dec. 21. Drop in and make something fun. Supplies and inspiration provided.
