Denali Lane construction under way

Construction has begun on the Denali Lane project after a series of delays. Asphalt removal began Thursday. On Friday, workers will begin laying pipe in the Nenana parking lot and move north along Denali Lane where it separates the parking lots for the Patty Center and lower dorms. Denali Lane will remain closed until early May.

Tanana Loop is scheduled to be closed at the intersection with Denali Lane from Saturday through Monday, April 25-27, and will reopen Tuesday morning, April 28. Travelers can reach the Patty Center and lower dorms via Geist Road/Morris Thompson Drive or Yukon Drive.

Installation of a temporary road between the Bunnell and Eielson lots has also begun, and will continue through the end of April. The temporary road will allow access to the parking lots on the east side of the Fairbanks campus.
